Catch Up
Was sick a few weeks ago and took some time off from training, but now I'm back!
Biking 80 miles on the weekend always followed by a few miles running and mixing in swim session during the week.
This week, a mix of short swims and brick sessions with some strength training.
Weekend, longer ride with longer run.

GMR Ride
It was all about the mountain this weekend. I did the Glendora Mountain Road/Ridge ride with the team - total miles 82. About a 5% percent grade for 10 miles and rolling hills afterwards while going against a strong wind...it was tough ride to say the least. Excellent practice and training! I tried Hammer product "Perpetuem" powder for energy drink and it was pretty good; I think I'll trade off between Cytomax and Hammer products. Stinger Waffles are still my favorite ride snack.
Next weeks challenge - Gran Fondo Century ride in San Diego :-)

OC to SD Century Ride
Rode a Century this weekend: 108 miles from Angel Stadium to Sand Diego train station with a few stops along the way to refuel. It was pretty cool to ride through Camp Pendelton base and a tough climb on Torrey Pines, all in all, it was a good ride with the group.
Did a 10k the following day which was wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it still took more energy than normal as my body was/is still in recovery from the day before. I need to continue building my base and then move on to long brick sessions!

Building A Base
Building my bike base: 60 miles of hills the last few weeks and now onto a long distance century ride.
Running only about 20-25 miles per week.
Its starting to get warmer and soon I'll start to build up my swim endurance.
Good Times!
